The connection method of bolts relies primarily on their unique head structure and threaded engagement to achieve reliable fastening. They are widely used in applications that demand high slip resistance and connection strength.

I. Core Connection Principle

The bolt features a Torx or hexagonal Torx drive design, which is tightened by inserting a specialized Torx wrench or bit into the slot and rotating it. Compared to traditional Phillips or flathead slots, this design offers superior resistance to slipping and distributes torque more evenly, making it particularly well-suited for high-torque applications.

Its connection process typically includes:

Insert the bolt into the through-hole of the connected parts.
Use the plum blossom tool to tighten, engaging the thread with the corresponding internal thread (such as a nut or a threaded hole in a machine component);
After reaching the preset torque, the locking is completed, forming a stable mechanical connection.
II. Typical Connection Forms

Depending on the application scenario, bolts commonly feature the following connection methods:

Bolt-nut connection
The bolt passes through two or more connected plates and is secured with a nut, making it suitable for detachable structures, such as the fastening of mechanical equipment housings.

Threaded hole—directly screw in.
The bolt is directly screwed into a pre-machined internal threaded hole (such as in castings or frames), eliminating the need for nuts and saving space. It’s commonly used for internal connections in compact devices.

Self-tapping connection (specific model)
Some pan-head bolts feature self-tapping threads, allowing them to directly tap threads into soft metals or plastics for secure fastening. They are commonly used in the assembly of electronic devices.

III. Advantages and Applicable Scenarios
Strong anti-slip performance: The plum blossom groove hexagonal star-shaped structure increases the contact area, reducing the risk of tool slippage and making it suitable for high-frequency vibration environments.
High installation efficiency: When used with electric screwdriver bits, it can quickly complete large-scale assembly tasks.
Good durability: Resistant to stripping, extending the service life of both bolts and tools.

Commonly found in fields such as automotive manufacturing, precision instruments, aerospace auxiliary structures, and high-end home appliances.
